CORE
A powder of pure titanium metal is blended with a plastic polymer using a unique Molecular Web Cross Link design (MWCL). This exclusive blend of materials produces a large, consistent core with the playability of a 90 compression wound golf ball. The large core produces low spin off the tee, generating explosive distance for the golfer with average clubhead speed. The unique MWCL design of the CL2 Precision® enables maximum transfer of power at impact, from the clubface directly to the center of the ball.
COVER
A Sodium Titanium Surlyn component joined with an Elastomer Thermo-Setting Polymer creates an unprecedented combination of performance, feel, and control. By combining Sodium with Titanium Surlyn, the cover of the CL2 Precision provides the perfect combination of distance and feel with improved results off the tee. On shots from the fairway, the cover generates a higher spin rate, allowing the golfer to maintain precise distance control.
DIMPLES
A new technology of dimple patterning maximizes accuracy by maintaining optimal spin rates. The CL2 Precision utilizes a pattern of 440 sharp-edged, multiple-sized dimples. These dual-radius dimples are laid out in a unique hexagonal grouping. The 440 sharp-edged dimples improve accuracy with a modulated spin rate based on launch angle. Their dual-radius design allows for a high share rate, increasing resistance to cuts and scratches, while the size variation produces a penetrating ball flight with minimum loss of air time.
